We took five different modes of transportation this morning on our journey to the historical town of Iznik. It looked like rain when we started the day, but by the time we arrived the sky was blue and crystal clear. The hour bus ride from the ferry boat took us winding through beautiful mountains, olive groves, and peach orchards. It was nice to get out of the city for a day. We are eating ice cream bars in this picture, waiting for our bus and trying to stay dry.
